Somewhere between glamping and camping
Grassy corners, a brook, and proper beds
Our huts and wagon sit in the grassy areas beside the brook, with lovely outside space to sit, play, picnic or just relax.
We have two options available: Tom, or Dick and Harriet.

Shepherd’s hut
Tom
Looking over the adjoining fields, enjoy the world of rabbits in the morning sunrise. With a fridge and microwave in its small kitchenette and an electric radiator for those chilly nights, Tom offers a little bit of an Enid Blyton adventure with a more comfortable twist — and of course a breakfast worth getting up for.
Inside is a lovely 4ft bed and chairs. Tom is let with full bedding, bath and hand towels, a hospitality tray of tea and coffee, and fresh milk in the fridge. Sorry, no TV, but on a good day you may pick up some WiFi — you could get around to reading those books you were given for Christmas!
As with all our rooms there is ample car parking or secure bike storage, and you have the freedom to come and go as you wish via our electric gates using your gate fob.

Shepherd’s hut & gypsy bow top wagon
Dick & Harriet
Our original gypsy bow top wagon and shepherd’s hut sit together in a quiet corner of our land, with a brook running behind and plenty of grass to enjoy your own “ginger beer” adventure sleep-out. The wet room shower and WC is exclusively yours and can be locked, so you don’t have to carry towels and wash bags around with you.
They have their own private covered area with soft cushions and a gas BBQ* to sit by at night and burn some marshmallows — or enjoy some food and maybe a bottle of wine or two. There is a shared kitchenette next to the Tuck Barn with a fridge and microwave, useful for chilling a few beers or warming up a snack (but don’t forget breakfast is included).
Dick and Harriet are let on a bring-your-own-sleeping-bag basis; pillows, pillowcases and towels are provided. Sorry, there is definitely no TV or WiFi, but you can check your emails over breakfast in the Tuck Barn — or just ignore them!
For two: choose Harriet the gypsy wagon or Dick the shepherd’s hut.
For up to four: book both Dick and Harriet for friends or family.

* Not all guests want or use the BBQ, while others want the outdoor cooking experience and the heat while sitting out at night, so we can supply butane gas at cost — please ask.
Just a few rules (has to be said)
- Dogs are welcome, but we must be told beforehand and they must be kept under proper control.
- Music and radios should not be played loudly.
- Open fires are not permitted.
- Please don’t climb over fences into the adjoining fields or other parts of the land.
